Terms and Conditions for Donors
Contipay Donate

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the relationship between Contipay Donate (“we,” “our,” or “us”) and any individual or entity (“Donor,” “you”) who contributes funds through our website …………………………………….(the “Website”). By making a donation, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Eligibility to Donate
You must be at least 18 years old or have legal capacity in your jurisdiction to make a donation.
By donating, you confirm that the funds used are your own and are derived from legitimate and lawful sources.
2. Donor Registration & KYC Verification
To ensure compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorist Financing (CFT) regulations, donors may be required to undergo Know Your Customer (KYC) verification.
Donors may be asked to provide:
Full legal name
Government-issued identification (ID, passport, or driver’s license)
Contact information (email address, phone number, physical address)
Proof of payment source (bank account, card, or mobile wallet details)
We reserve the right to:
Request additional documents if needed.
Refuse or refund any donation if the donor fails to complete KYC verification.
Report suspicious donations to the relevant authorities.
3. Accepted Payment Platforms
Donations on Contipay Donate may be made using the following approved payment channels:
Debit/Credit Cards – Visa, Mastercard
Mobile Money Services – EcoCash, OneMoney, Telecash
Bank Transfers – via supported local and international banks
Other Approved Payment Platforms – as may be added from time to time and published on our Website.
We reserve the right to add, suspend, or remove payment methods without prior notice, provided donors are informed of available options at the point of donation.
4. Processing Charges
Payment Processing Fees
All donations made through the Contipay Donate Platform are subject to payment processing charges imposed by third-party payment providers (e.g., Visa, MasterCard, EcoCash, O’Mari, mobile money operators, or banks).
These charges may vary depending on the chosen payment method and are deducted automatically at the time of the transaction.
Contipay Donate Platform Fee
In addition to payment processor charges, Contipay Donate may apply a platform service fee to cover the costs of maintaining, securing, and operating the fundraising platform.
The applicable service fee will be clearly displayed at checkout before a donor confirms the donation.
Net Amount to Campaigns
Donors acknowledge that the amount received by a campaign may be less than the amount donated due to these processing charges.
Contipay Donate shall not be held liable for the difference between the gross donation and the net amount received by the campaign.
Non-Refundable
All processing and platform fees are non-refundable, even if a campaign does not reach its target or is later suspended or terminated.

Use of Donations
Donations are directed to campaigns created by registered fundraisers on the platform.
While we take reasonable steps to vet campaigns, Contipay Donate does not guarantee or warrant the accuracy, legitimacy, or success of any campaign.
Donors acknowledge that contributions are voluntary and non-refundable, except where required by law or under specific refund policies.
Prohibited Donations
Donors shall not contribute funds that are:
Derived from illegal activities.
Intended for money laundering, terrorist financing, or fraudulent purposes.
Made using stolen or unauthorized payment methods.
Any such donations may be blocked, reversed, or reported to authorities.
7. Transparency & Communication
Donors may receive receipts or confirmations of their contributions.
Donors may also receive updates regarding the campaigns they support, subject to the campaign creator’s communication preferences.
8. Data Protection
Donor information collected for KYC and transaction purposes will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Zimbabwe Data Protection Act [Chapter 11:12].
Data will only be used for lawful purposes, including compliance, security, and record-keeping.
Donors have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of their personal data in line with our Privacy Policy.
9. Liability
Contipay Donate acts as an intermediary platform and is not responsible for the direct use of donations by campaign creators.
We are not liable for losses, damages, or disputes arising from contributions made through the platform, except where required by law.
10. Refund Policy
Donations are generally non-refundable.
Refunds may be considered only in exceptional cases, such as proven fraud, duplicate transactions, or errors.
11. Termination of Donor Access
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate a donor’s access if they:
Fail to complete KYC verification.
Are found to be engaging in fraudulent or unlawful activity.
Breach these Terms in any way.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Zimbabwe, without prejudice to any mandatory legal protections applicable in the donor’s jurisdiction.
13. Amendments
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on the Website with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued donations after such updates constitute acceptance of the new Terms.
